Room: Club E (1st floor)

Pushing EBSD to new limits with site-specific sample preparation

Dr. Laurie Palasse, Application Scientist EBSD, Bruker Nano
Robert Ranner, Product Manager, Leica Microsystems

The EBSD analysis of gold wire bonds on silicon is very ambitious due to the challenge of preparing site-specific samples with phases of different hardness. Using the most advanced equipment from Leica Microsystems in combination with Bruker's QUANTAX EBSD leads to a significant time reduction in sample preparation and excellent EBSD results. This enables the investigation of many materials that were previously limited in EBSD analysis. Learn more about the new opportunities and applications regarding sample preparation and EBSD analysis during our lunch workshop.
