Microscopy Society of America scholarship

The Microscopy Society of America is pleased to announce the availability of 10 student scholarships to help defray costs to attend the 18th International Microscopy Congress (IMC-18), to be held September 7-12, 2014 in Prague, CZ. The deadline for application is June 15, 2014.

The eligibility criteria for the scholarships are as follows:

- Applicant must be a full-time student at an accredited college or university in the United States at the time of the meeting.

- Applicant must be the primary author and presenter of the submitted paper.

- Successful applicants must present their papers personally at the meeting in order to receive their award.

Awards will be based on the quality of the paper accepted for platform or poster presentation at the IMC-18. Successful applicants will receive reimbursement of up to $1,000 toward travel and registration costs, as evidenced by original receipts submitted following the meeting.

To apply for a scholarship, please submit a copy of the paper to be considered as an attachment to an e-mail, subject line "IMC-18 Scholarship application - [SurnameInitials]", with contact information for you and your academic advisor in the body of the e-mail. A statement from your advisor, certifying that you are a full-time student and the primary author of the work in the paper. Please submit applications to the following email address: awards@microscopy.org.
