Present positions
John Spence is Regent's Professor and R. Snell Professor of Physics at Arizona State University, teaching condensed matter physics, and jointly appointed at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Berkeley, Ca. USA. Spence is Director of Science for the NSF's Science and Technology Center (STC) for application of X-ray lasers to structural biology.

Previous positions include
